Prepared for The King St. Cafe
Your new website

Your website has been dark since the spring.

Four pages, your own photography, your menu and prices, and a cake enquiry form that lands straight in your inbox. Live on the address you already own. It's finished and running right now. Look through it below, on a real screen and a real phone, exactly as your customers would.

Where things stand

You already had one. It went dark in the spring.

This isn't a pitch about getting online. You were online, properly, and then the plan lapsed and Wix let go of the address. Everything below is checkable in about two minutes.

404

thekingstcafe.ca returns an error

Every page of it. The address is still printed on your Facebook page, so anyone who hears about you and types it in lands on a Wix error screen. Tourism Windsor Essex gave up and now lists your Facebook page as your website.

Apr 2027

The domain is still yours

Nothing has been lost. The registration runs to April 2027, so the address you have been advertising for two years can simply start working again, pointed at this site instead.

Cake orders have had nowhere to go

The old site took cake orders by size and flavour, ran Easter pre-orders and had a loyalty program. Since it went down, every one of those has had to come through a DM or a phone call.

What a site actually does here

In a town this size, it isn't about traffic.

Harrow already knows where you are, and your 4.9 from 172 reviews is doing more selling than any website will. What you are missing is the part that comes after someone hears about you.

Somewhere for a referral to land

Word of mouth is doing the work. But the person who gets told about you at a birthday party needs a place to see the hours, the case and how to order a cake, at ten o'clock at night when you are closed.

Fewer of the same questions

Are you open Mondays. Do you do gluten free. How much notice for a cake. Every one of those is already answered on your new site, which is time back on a Saturday morning.

★ 4.9

The Google button has to land somewhere

Your listing is the front door in a town this size, and the website button on it is meant to open onto your own shop. At the moment it opens onto an error.

One more reason, from down the road

In July, Google told an Ontario bakery's customers it was closing.

Anna Mae's Bakery in Millbank had Google's AI summary announce it was shutting for good. It wasn't. The owner found out from a screenshot someone sent her while she was driving, and said: "that's when I panicked." She spent days correcting it one customer at a time.

Google's own explanation was that this happens "when there is an absence of high quality information on the web on a particular topic." Right now, the highest quality information about you returns a 404. This is how you fix that.

What you get

Everything, already built.

Built around orders

Every page points to one thing: getting someone to reach out. The enquiry form lands in your inbox instantly, so you can reply first.

Your brand, not a template

Your look, your words, your photos. Nobody else has this site.

Perfect on a phone

Most people will find you on their phone. It's built for that screen first, and tested on every common size.

Found on Google and AI

Set up so search engines and AI assistants understand who you are, what you do and where you work.

Your own web address

We point it at your domain, keep your email working, and handle the technical side.

Fast, secure, looked after

Hosted on a fast global network, secured, backed up daily. Nothing for you to manage or update.

Before you decide

We built it first, on purpose.

Rather than ask you to imagine what we'd make, we made it. You owe nothing for looking. If it isn't for you, say so and that's genuinely the end of it, no invoice, no hard feelings.

It stays yours. The domain stays registered in your name, not ours. You get the logins. The monthly is a fixed $20 and we do not quietly put it up. If you ever want to leave, you take your content and your address with you.

Every detail gets confirmed before it goes live. Some of what's on there now, like your phone number, email and the wording, we put together from what we could find publicly. After checkout you'll get a short form to confirm or correct all of it, along with anything you'd like changed. Nothing goes live at your web address until you've looked it over and it's exactly what you want.

The offer
$1,000
+ tax · one-time · CAD
then $20/month + tax · hosting & care · cancel any time

The one-time fee covers the site itself, yours to keep. The monthly keeps it online, secure and looked after. Your first month is included in today's checkout, then it bills monthly to the same card.

Secure checkout by Stripe. Ticking the box and completing checkout is your acceptance of the agreement.

What the $20 a month covers

  • Hosting on a fast global network, and the security certificate that keeps it secure
  • Daily backups, so nothing is ever lost
  • We keep it online and working, and fix anything that breaks
  • Small changes are included, just email us. A new phone number, a price, swapping a photo, fixing a typo
  • Bigger work like new pages or a redesign is quoted first, so you're never charged for something you didn't approve

Billed monthly in Canadian dollars to the card you use at checkout, starting today. Cancel any time by emailing hello@groedigital.com, with no cancellation fee. You keep your domain and your content either way; the hosted site comes down when hosting ends.
